VIDEO BOOK TRAILERS
To make our programs accessible to every size budget, BookShorts
produces 30 and 60 second “trailers” or video
previews of a book — a handy format when lead time is
tight, a whole catalogue needs to be launched economically,
or when a website needs extra pizzazz.
AWARD SHOWS
Award shows use video in many ways: EPKs to elicit advance
press coverage; DVD give-aways before and during Award events;
as a means of profiling nominees and winners broadcast as
an integral part of the Award event and long after. We’ve
produced long-form specials broadcast as editorial TV and
used by an organization’s fundraisers.
NEWS COVERAGE
BookShorts has produced hundreds of minutes of
original News programming syndicated to wide range of online
broadcasters. We maintain an active video blog, three informational
websites plus Communities on Facebook, MySpace, Amazon.com
ChaptersIndigo.ca and many more.
BOOKSHORTS FILM &
TV PROJECTS
Full book-to-film projects are optioned from artists and publishers.
These adaptations typically require longer planning and financing
from a partner triad including BookShorts, a broadcasters
and a artist or publisher. To qualify your book for this program,
contact Executive Producer Judith Keenan.
BOOKSHORTS LITERACY PROGRAM
BookShorts is committed to supporting literacy in all its
forms. To that end, the not-for-profit company is developing
entertainment programming targeted to new and young readers,
primarly through the medium of the Internet and online social
netorking. More news on these initiatives will be posted
in early 2007.
A limited number of videos are produced by BookShorts Literacy
Program in service to not-for-profit organizations which
support art and artists.
