Award-winning host Paul Quarrington presents two short films, exploring the process of filmmaking and adapting the printed word for a multi-media universe. In this episode, Kagan McLeod’s illustrations for Mireille Silcoff’s “Archetypes” (McClelland & Stewart) are made into a series of animated shorts and Quarrington predicts his evolution into “telephone writer” based on his collaboration with award-winning director Bert Kish on “Angel Takes All: No Limit Texas Hold’Em” (ECW Press) by Angel Largay. Includes a special segment with director Irene Duma on moviemaking for wireless devices.

Debby Does It Right

You want PR done right, you gotta call the ddg. If you're lucky (and we consider ourselves quite lucky to have her on board) she'll focus her laser beam on the media and tell them what-for, in the nicest possible way. Really, I've seen it in action. See it for yourself ...

E-TALK DAILY - We like what Robin has in his genes (hey, he's the hard-working son of the hardest working man in pictures!) Kudos to the CTV producer who stuck with us to get more authors on the tube. A short and pithy item on BookShorts the day we shot Thomas Homer-Dixon. Coming up, Friday, Oct 20 on CTV.

MARKETING MAGAZINE - Book Buzz - Publishers turn to stunts and short films to hype latest novels by Eve Lazarus ... check out the entire article!

GOLD PR STAR - to Brian and Janice at EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing for i-ROBOT Poetry -- an email blast out to 2000 science fiction and media contacts hyping the first episode of MOVING STORIES, and Peter Darbyshire, books editor for the Vancouver Province, wrote to Brian "Just wanted to say thanks for sending a review copy of i-ROBOT. Loved it. I gave it a write-up on our blog ..."!
