FINDING INSPIRATION on Moving Stories TV

Thursday, Dec. 28 8pm EST on BookTelevision

Paula Todd of “A Quiet Courage” and Scott Griffin of “My Heart is Africa” spark discussion on finding inspiration in their own lives, and explores how their film biographers found their documentary stories in the edit suite.

Award-winning host Paul Quarrington presents two short films, exploring the process of filmmaking and adapting the printed word for a multi-media universe. This episode also aired on Sunday, Dec 4 on CLT - watch for repeats!

JPod on Showcase.ca premeires with contest freebies

Starting January 2 and running for the entire month, Showcase.ca will be syndicating the JPOD BookShort. The homepage will host the film, as well as a newsletter-contest initiative the prize for which is -- drum roll please -- brand spankin' new book from Vintage Canada,

Lots more to come on the JPod front, including the national TV broadcast premiere on BookShorts Moving Stories episode called "ICONS" - tune in to CLT January 14 and Book Television January 25 to catch the film and special feature with the film's cast - what, Doug doesn't write about vampires??

Video Blog Menu: Bidini and Pork and Cheese

No, its not the latest Indian food fad, nor can you wear it between your eyes. But it is a fun couple of minutes to spend lollygagging in front of the screen as you wait for the clock to hit "holiday."

CBC's new lit portal "Words at Large" hosts a video blog from Moving Storie, shot at the launch event for author / chef Gurth Pretty's seminal work on Canadian Artisanal Cheese (pub.
